Born of a bumper sticker:
I received an IMPEACH bumper sticker by the Peace Resource Project for Christmas (2005, I think) and never got around to putting it on my car. I finally decided I should do something with it, but 2008 having rolled around, seemed a bit pointless to slap it on as-is (let’s face it, mediocrity triumphed). So I decided to play the Bumper Sticker Anagram Game®.
Top contenders were PEACH IM (cute, but again, pointless), EACH IMP (fun, but just didn’t fire my rockets somehow), and MACH PIE (Ding!) I loved the play on speed and Speed Racer (I drive a ‘94 Ford Escort Wagon–I don’t achieve mach anything…) and the Pi/Pie pun. Oh yes, Mach Pie was it. Broke out the paper cutter, chopped up the sticker, and stuck it on. At last: cruising down the road at 3.14 times the speed of silly…

I’ve been journaling pretty heavily on okcupid and have gotten some decent positive feedback. My small–if somewhat polyamorous–following make me smile. And I try to return the favor. So I’m graduating to a fer realz blahg (I affectionately refer to the jouranl feature on okc as my journalblahgz) to try and spread the giggles. Silly cerebral droppings ahead.
